I&#039;ve never had any issues with alsa and found it to be the best solution. i&#039;m not a musician but got all my music and films (2Tb) on my Debian box and play via mpd on my lan...mixing was never an issue, because of asoundrc. of course, if you want to mix and change several audio streams of different applications in real time that will be a bit of a problem, but who wants to do that? alsa is rock solid and got a good design compared to all the alternatives...</description>

		<description>I&#039;ve just gotten to the point of deciding that audio isn&#039;t all that important to me. Its not worth my time. Maybe when it all gets stable and sorted out I&#039;ll start using audio again.</description>
